Monsanto Announces New Vegetable Seeds Lead

Tuesday, 13 September 2016

Dear Growers and Channel Partners,

Our success is dependent on your success.  Monsanto Vegetable Seeds has committed to become more customer centric by putting the grower at the center of all decisions we make.  With that in mind, it seems only fitting that we put a grower at the helm of our business.

Today, Mike Frank, Global Commercial Lead for Monsanto Company announced that Sebastian Langbehn will be the new leader of Monsanto Vegetable Seeds. Sebastian has devoted his entire career to the vegetables business starting in Chile as the owner of a fresh vegetable production operation.  Sebastian joined Monsanto with the acquisition of Seminis in 2005; he has held various commercial leadership roles of increasing responsibility across North and South America and Asia within the Global Vegetables organization over the last 20 years. Most recently, Sebastian was the Global Vegetables Product Management and Marketing Lead.

Sebastian is comsebastianmitted to bringing customer centricity, operational excellence and a fruitful pipeline to our growers in a manner that is humble with relentless focus on innovation and customer insights.  As a grower himself, he hopes to bring an empathic approach to better meet growers needs around the globe with our De Ruiter and Seminis brands.

We look forward to serving under Sebastian’s insightful direction
